Tetsuharu Kamiya

Tetsuharu Kamiya received his B.S. in Medicine at the Shanghai University of TCM in China. After returning to Japan, he acquired the national acupuncture license.

Kamiya is a direct disciple of Dr Yamamoto and a certified instructor of Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture. He has been involved in the spread of YNSA since the establishment of the Japanese YNSA Society 10 years ago.

As one of the few certified instructors, he is working to accurately convey the basics of YNSA established by Dr Yamamoto. Kamiya and the few other instructors have developed and maintained a strong professional relationship with Dr Yamamoto.

The ongoing relationship with Dr Yamamoto allows him to stay up to date on developments of YNSA and to maintain the highest level of YNSA clinical aptitude.

YNSA seminars take place every month, with hundreds of participants currently trained in the basic techniques of YNSA. Participants using this method on a daily basis in the clinic have achieved remarkable results for their patients.

Kamiya provides acupuncture treatments at Tohoku University Hospital for patients with inexplicable symptoms, intractable neurological diseases, and functional somatic and somatoform disorders. He also conducts clinical research and is involved in acupuncture education at Tohoku University.

Kamiya has a TCM clinical career of more than 20 years and over 10 years with YNSA. He received invitations from Bali, Abu Dhabi, Taiwan, and other countries to present his research on acupuncture.

Throughout his career, Kamiya as a lecturer and mentor has pushed for the necessary integration of acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and Scalp Acupuncture.

In Japan today, he is one of the leading acupuncturists specializing in TCM and YNSA.
