Prof. Zhu was born in Shanghai, China in 1940. After graduating in 1964 from the first acupuncture class at the Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine, Prof. Zhu was sent to work in Guizhou. In no time, he earned the reputation of a seasoned doctor because of the remarkable results of his works.

Dr Lu, licensed Acupuncturist and Physical Therapist, has been in the medical profession for over 20 years.  He has worked as Director of Rehabilitation and Senior Physical Therapist in a variety of settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers and private clinics.

Dr. Young is a certified Chinese Medical Doctor in Taiwan (the average pass rate is only 7%), California and NCCA certified acupuncturist and herbalist. 

Dr. Young received his Doctorate degree in Medicine at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ph.D. in Philosophy at Beijing University, and Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine from Samra University of Oriental Medicine. 

Dr. Young believes clinical practices and academic studies benefit by association with each other. After decades of clinical practices, self-studying, and learning from master-level doctors, he decided to reach for a higher level.

Dr. Michael Chung is a registered Doctor of TCM (Dr. TCM) in British Columbia of Canada. Since 1998 he established his own TCM practice in West Vancouver, BC. 

He received his B.Sc. in Pharmacy from Taipei Medical University, Taiwan; MSc and PhD in TCM from the Tianjin TCM University. 

He is the founder and convener of Tzu Chi International Medicinal Association Canada since 2012, and the Medical Director of Tzu Chi Clinic of TCM since September 2018, which is a collaborative Centre for TCM teaching and study of Humber College in Toronto.  

Dr. Chung has been teaching in TCM and Naturopathic schools, both in the US and Canada since 1995.

Professor Yamamoto, Tetsuharu and Mika Kamiya


Tetsuharu Kamiya received his B.S. in Medicine at the Shanghai University of TCM in China. After returning to Japan, he acquired the national acupuncture license. 

Kamiya is a direct disciple of Dr Yamamoto and a certified instructor of Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture. He has been involved in the spread of YNSA since the establishment of the Japanese YNSA Society 10 years ago.

As one of the few certified instructors, he is working to accurately convey the basics of YNSA established by Dr Yamamoto. Kamiya and the few other instructors have developed and maintained a strong professional relationship with Dr Yamamoto.

The ongoing relationship with Dr Yamamoto allows him to stay up to date on developments of YNSA and to maintain the highest level of YNSA clinical aptitude.
